Our Unique Approach

It’s simple. It's trustworthy. Hemp is a widely recognized Superfood with natural healing powers whether we’re applying it to the body or consuming otherwise. Citizen Bloom’s carefully sourced plant partner is USDA Certified Organic in cultivation and extraction, all done so at their Western North Carolina facilities. We use only full-spectrum, CO2 extracted Hemp in all products because we believe strongly that active plant compounds including Cannabinoids, Essential Oils, & Terpenes, work more effectively together to co-create the truest wellness benefits.

Our Hemp Extract contains its original Terpene profile. Terpenes are the main component of Essential Oils and they are responsible for the scent profiles of Cannabis and almost all other plants. Essential Oils are extracted from plants similar to Cannabinoids, and contain many medicinal benefits. Like Hemp, Essential Oils have been used for centuries worldwide with the aim of improving a person’s health. They have been found to provide various degrees of aromatherapeutic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Within each product, we incorporate our 100% Pure & Proprietary Blends to provide both the pleasing aromatics while supporting all active botanical compounds.

Our beautiful skin craves nutrient and mineral dense, plant-based oils to stay hydrated and youthful. In effort to ensure our Hemp and supporting botanicals deliver their unique superpowers’, we utilize cold-pressed and unrefined bases including Shea Nut Butter, Hemp Seed Oil, Caster Bean Oil, Jojoba, etc. Most cream and lotion bases are a combination of water and wax. Wax clogs pores and limits delivery of Cannabinoids and other botanicals. The naturally occurring fatty acids found in our carrier oils create the best bioavailability, binding therapeutic compounds effectively so that your body can achieve the benefits timely and when you desire them most.

The People's Plant

Hemp is the non-psychoactive variant of the Cannabis plant species, and Marijuana’s cousin. It is one of the oldest cultivated and most versatile crops in the world, having over 25,000 known uses from healthcare products to textiles, biofuel, building materials and more.  For over 12,000 years, citizens from diverse civilizations around the globe have benefited from using all parts of the plant. The flowers, leaves, seeds, and roots have been used culturally, medicinally and spiritually, while the stems and stalks provide fiber for cloth, rope, paper, and concrete.

Hemp naturally contains hundreds of specific chemical plant compounds called phytocannabinoids, aka, Cannabinoids. Cannabinoids provide significant and researched back benefits that prove Cannabis supports our immune system and helps our bodies maintain homeostasis. When Hemp is applied topically (via the skin), Cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, and CBN bind to receptor sites throughout the body and in our brain. Cannabinoids can have different effects based on their method of delivery and depending on which receptors they bind to. This creates widespread opportunity for substantial support from overall reduction in pain and inflammation, improved skin health, better moods, better sleep…the list goes on.

Brilliant Beings

Our human bodies were designed to receive, process, and benefit from the use of Cannabis. The Skin is our largest organ and it is absolutely full of Cannabinoid receptor sites, millions of them, to be exact. These sites, called CB1 & CB2, are also found in other main organs, the central nervous system, connective tissues, glands, and more. Together, they make up the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). In fact, all mammals have an ECS.

When it comes to general skincare, Hemp CBD is invaluable. It is a powerful antioxidant and plays a vital role in protecting the skin from free radicals such as UV rays, smoke, and pesky environmental pollutants. These kinds of free radicals decrease the skin’s elasticity, which cause fine lines and wrinkles and further accelerate the aging process. Hemp is also known for its ability to reduce inflammation, which makes it a powerful ingredient for combating acne and other types of blemishes. It is highly effective at reducing the amount of sebum, or skin oil, produced by the body. Even issues related to the immune system, such as eczema and psoriasis, can be treated effectively with Hemp.

By using quality and potent topical products, you can utilize the natural support of Hemp and other ancient botanicals to claim your power and impact your vitality from the outside in.
