  • What should I look for when buying hemp products?
    The market is flooded with options & you might be trying to figure out what topical is right for you. It is important to understand the 3 types of hemp to choose from so that you are not misled with products that only contain hemp seed oil as opposed to hemp extract or isolate. If hemp type and dosage aren't transparent enough, it's always best to find another product. The 3 include: full spectrum, broad spectrum & isolate. While they may sound similar, they’re actually quite different. We’ll sum it up. #1 FULL SPECTRUM EXTRACT We dig it. This means that all active plant compounds are present like *CBD & other trace cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils and of course, legal trace amounts of *THC content, below 0.3%. Citizen Bloom uses organic, full spectrum, whole plant extract in all products because we believe that plant compounds work more effectively together in order to produce the truest and purest benefits, commonly referred to as the “entourage effect”. Because our products contain full-spectrum extract, each goes to our third-party lab to be verified and approved for cannabinoid potency and quality assurance. #2. BROAD SPECTRUM The cannabinoids of *THC, *THCV, and *THCA have been removed leaving only *CBD and other trace cannabinoids. As an ingredient, it is used in the form of powder or extract. #3. ISOLATE It means the ingredient is made from a single molecule 99%+ *CBD with no other cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, chlorophyll or any other plant material. As an ingredient, it is used in the form of powder.
  • Will I get “high” from using hemp extract?
    *CBD is the main, non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp, whereas *THC is the main in marijuana. Hemp/*CBD does not get you "high”. Although, *CBD is not psychoactive, full spectrum hemp can give you a false positive drug test, *specifically if you orally consume high doses of hemp/*CBD oil on a daily basis. It’s important to speak with your doctor if you suffer from serious illness, are breast feeding, pregnant or expecting. If you feel this may impact your employment status in any way, we recommend speaking with your employer about the use of hemp/*CBD for wellbeing. Our hemp extract is third-party lab verified (Virginia) & grown in compliance (Asheville) with the 2018 farm bill that federally legalized industrial hemp. Products nor statements have not been evaluated by the US Food & Drug Administration. no product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
  • How long does hemp stay in my system?
    There are many wonderful reasons to want to add hemp/*CBD to your self care routine. Understanding the type of hemp you are consuming is just as important as understanding what hemp does to the body and how long it remains in your system. This answer depends on a few factors including individual metabolism, the frequency of use and method of delivery. According to a 2018 review of prior CBD research, the estimated half-life when consumed daily is 2-5 days. Its effects can last anywhere from 2-6 hours beginning to work 1-2 hours after application. Full-spectrum oil when consumed orally is processed by the body’s bloodstream and remains present longer than the use of infused topicals
  • What if I get essential oil in my eyes?
    It may sting a bit, but stay calm. oil and water don’t mix, so you’ll need a substance that will quickly emulsify the essential oil. Non-flavored, organic cream or milk is best. Make sure to flush eyes with the dairy over the sink and until it stops burning. This should happen almost immediately. Next, you’ll flush with water to remove the dairy. What about your skin? Everyone is different. Our essential oils are 100% pure and already diluted within the product itself. In the event skin irritation or burning occurs, use a common oil like olive, coconut, almond oil, avocado oil, and massage directly on to the point of discomfort. This will further dilute whatever oil may be causing a reaction. In the event that you’re experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.
  • How do I care for my fresh products?
    All Citizen Bloom products survive best at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. You may refrigerate hemp products for extended freshness. Products are best used within 8 months of purchase. In the event you have a product arrive softened or hardened due to varied shipping seasons/temperatures, do not fret. If it’s too cold, leave it at room temp and it will come down perfectly. If it’s gotten too warm and softened (sometimes the body butter), pop it in the fridge for an hour and it’s good to go. DO NOT leave hemp products in bright or hot places, it will compromise the oils and other pure botanicals.
  • May I recycle the bottles & packaging?
    Yes. We use glass packaging for all products so that they may be recycled properly. Our branded mailer is cardboard, which can be broken down and recycled. Additionally, the wood grain packaging within the mailer is undyed, chemical free, and biodegradable. If you receive one with shredded paper, that can be recycled, too. Both packing materials may be reused by you for personal gifts and/or shipping. Run out of product? The label comes off without a mess or hassle, and the glass can be machine washed, and reused for something else. Less is more. We try to keep it as minimal and simple for you, ourselves, and the planet.
  • How are shipping and returns handled?
    It takes 5-7 business days for your order to be fulfilled and shipped. The total time for shipping is 1-3 days. Any orders placed after 10pm EST on Friday will process the following Monday, so long as it is not a Federal Holiday. We do not ship internationally, or to the following states based on localized hemp laws: Idaho, Utah, South Dakota, Mississippi, Nebraska, or Hawaii. Laws subject to change. We stand behind the quality of our products and want you to feel satisfied with them. We’ll do our best always to make sure that you are taken care of. You have 30 days of your purchase to contact us for a refund or exchange. Completing this request via email ( will initiate the formal process and we will provide you with a full refund, minus original shipping, once the product is returned to us in new or gently used condition. If you wish to make the exchange, please know that we only accept one refund per person, per product.   • What is your privacy policy?
    Our privacy policy outlines how your personal information is shared when you visit or make purchases from our online shop. Certain information is automatically collected when you visit our website on your devices, including information about your web browser, IP address, location, and time zone. If you create a store account, or make a purchase from us, we collect your name, email, phone number, city, state, billing address, shipping address, credit card number - considered to be customer information. We keep your address on file for direct email marketing campaigns, in which you’re given the option to opt-out. We do not “sell” personal information to third parties. Transactions are safe and secure via Square credit card processing and Wells Fargo bank. Your right to know and delete - you have a right to request the following from us: specific oils & ingredients based on health concerns + Certificates of Analysis (COA) for hemp products upon our approval + specific personal information we have collected on you and the business’s purpose for doing so, all within the past 12 months. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes in writing via our website will take place immediately.
